What are the latest innovations likely to be seen in park homes?

There was a time when park homes were basic structures and a far cry from the high-end luxury park dwellings that we see today. With all the advances in technology, what’s likely to be the next big thing to be seen in park homes?

Homeowner needs are constantly changing along with technological advancements. House builders must now meet stringent guidelines and levels of energy efficiency through every aspect of a new build property. The manufacturers of park homes are no different and need to stay on-top of the latest available methods.  

Over the next few years there are likely to be a lot of new innovations to hit the marketplace. Especially so for the park home manufacturing market, and innovations that focus on increased insulation, helping owners to reduce running costs of their park homes, are likely to be seen in particular.

We’ve looked at a few of the latest advancements in technology that we think are likely to be seen in park homes in the not too distant future. Here are our top three:

Nano Technology Paint

It sounds a bit sci-fi, but Nano Technology Paint, as the name suggests, has been developed by specialist nano technicians who have created an insulation method through paint. Scientists have suspended particles as small as a nanometre (one billionth of a metre) within a latex solution; these tiny particles trap heat and it is claimed by the manufacturers of the paint, that only two coats are required to mirror the effects of traditional insulation. Thermodynamic Heating Systems

These specialist heating systems absorb heat from the atmosphere to convert a refrigerant into a gas. The gas then passes through a compressor which boosts its temperature and is then used to heat water in well-insulated tanks; the water can be used for heating your home and hot water. Although heating and recovery times are impressive, running costs are still to be proven; it does seem likely though that this new technology will take off so watch this space. 

Concrete-less Bases

Another, and the last in our top three, is concrete-less bases. Thanks to new technology, the time-consuming process of laying concrete bases may become obsolete. Ground Screws, a new innovation in the UK, offers a fast and easy alternative to a concrete base, with minimum impact to the landscape and no excavation, concrete, wet trades or landfill; it’s also safe and comes at a relatively low cost.
