Omar make a great start to 2017 at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show

Omar started the year in style at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show recently where they displayed the contemporary styled Ikon park home. Despite storm Doris having caused havoc on the roads, the show saw over 94,000 visitors through the doors; at over 7,000 visitors more than last year, this increase in footfall could be seen as a reflection of the growing popularity of staycations and of the industry in general!

The Ikon has always commanded attention for its distinctive and striking styling and saw a constant flow of visitors.  Long slender windows, feature A-grade cedar cladding detail and a false chimneybreast all come together to create a contemporary and sleek look; the 2017 model now also includes French doors off the lounge for added practicality.

Show goers loved the contemporary colour scheme of greys, creams and plums and were heard to comment favorably on the layout which includes a kitchen / diner and a lounge separated by double doors. The semi open-plan nature of the layout lends itself perfectly to modern lifestyle preferences, providing the option to open up the living space or to have separate rooms.

The lounge, which spans the width of the home, provides a wonderful spacious and light environment to relax in with its feature glazing, vaulted ceiling and French doors. Here, two comfortable sofas, a footstool, a Lyon oak sideboard and a contemporary feature wall-hung fire simply, yet stylishly dress the room.

Visitors loved the bright and vibrant feel of the well-equipped kitchen with its central breakfast island – perfect for reading the paper over a morning coffee! Opposite the kitchen, the dining area also left a strong impression with an extending dining table in Lyon oak providing plenty of room to accommodate extra guests.

Through into the bedrooms, large wardrobes with sliding doors and wall-mounted headboards with hotel-style lamp tables can be found. Off the master bedroom the luxurious en-suite includes a large walk-in multi-function shower with spa-like waterfall option and inset massaging body jets. The family bathroom is equally luxurious and includes a contemporary freestanding bath.
