Omar Group CEO Abstains for Charity

Omar Group CEO, Dean Westmoreland, (who likes the odd pint) has agreed to abstain from alcohol in aid of Wooden Spoon, The Children’s Charity of Rugby.

Inspired by Finance Director Tim Silk’s, Bury St Edmunds RUFC Memorial Cycle Ride, from 7^th to 11^th May in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care, Dean has decided to take on his own challenge. Dean will be abstaining from all alcohol, from 12^th April after the Wooden Spoon, St Georges Day lunch in Leicestershire, until Ladies Day at Newmarket Races on 11^th of July.

This should be quite a test for Dean who is the grandson of a brewer, son of a publican and a man who has earned quite a reputation for liking ‘a few cold ones’ after the doors close at exhibitions! Dean agreed to rise to the challenge after passing comment that “The January Dryathon that was undertaken by so many in aid of Cancer Research UK was not that much of a challenge.”
